OnePlus Nord CE 6 Series Launched in India With Bigger Batteries and Fresh Design
OnePlus has officially launched the new OnePlus Nord CE 6 series in India, bringing a fresh design and some major upgrades to its popular Nord lineup. The new smartphones focus heavily on battery life, smoother displays, and better overall performance, making them strong contenders in the mid-range smartphone market.
This time, OnePlus has also changed the design language of the Nord CE series. The standard Nord CE 6 now comes with a square-shaped rear camera module instead of the pill-shaped layout seen on the previous generation, giving the phone a cleaner and more modern look.
OnePlus Nord CE 6 Series Price in India
The OnePlus Nord CE 6 starts at Rs. 29,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, while the 256GB version is priced at Rs. 32,999.
Meanwhile, the OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite starts at Rs. 20,999 for the 6GB + 128GB model. The 8GB + 128GB variant costs Rs. 22,999, and the top-end 256GB storage version is priced at Rs. 25,999.
OnePlus is also offering an instant discount of up to Rs. 2,000 on purchases made using HDFC Bank credit cards.
The Nord CE 6 will go on sale from May 8, while the Nord CE 6 Lite will be available starting May 12 through Amazon India and OnePlus India.
Bigger Batteries Are the Biggest Highlight
The biggest talking point of the new OnePlus Nord CE 6 Series is undoubtedly the battery capacity.
The OnePlus Nord CE 6 packs a massive 8,000mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging. It also supports 27W reverse wired charging, allowing users to charge other devices using the phone.
On the other hand, the OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite comes with a 7,000mAh battery and 45W fast charging support.
With batteries this large, OnePlus seems to be targeting users who spend long hours gaming, streaming videos, or simply want a phone that can easily last more than a day on a single charge.
Smooth Displays and Refreshed Design
The OnePlus Nord CE 6 features a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 3,600 nits. The display is designed to offer smoother scrolling, better gaming visuals, and improved outdoor visibility.
The phone also gets strong durability features with IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for water and dust resistance, something rarely seen in this price segment.
Meanwhile, the OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite sports a 6.72-inch Full-HD+ LCD display with the same 144Hz refresh rate. It comes with an IP64 rating and MIL-STD-810H certification for added durability.
Performance Focused Hardware
Under the hood, the OnePlus Nord CE 6 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor paired with up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. OnePlus has also included a large vapour chamber cooling system to keep temperatures under control during gaming and heavy usage.
The Lite version uses the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Apex chipset and also supports up to 256GB storage.
Both smartphones run on Android 16-based OxygenOS 16 out of the box.
Cameras and Everyday Features
For photography, both devices feature a 50-megapixel primary rear camera along with a 2-megapixel secondary sensor.
The standard Nord CE 6 gets a 32-megapixel selfie camera, while the Lite model comes with an 8-megapixel front shooter.
The phones support 4K video recording at 30fps and include features like 5G connectivity, Bluetooth 5.4, dual-band Wi-Fi, USB Type-C support, and fingerprint scanners for security.
Final Thoughts
With the new OnePlus Nord CE 6 Series, OnePlus is clearly focusing on what many users want the most — long battery life, smooth performance, and reliable everyday usage.
The OnePlus Nord CE 6 stands out with its AMOLED display, premium durability ratings, and huge 8,000mAh battery, while the OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite offers a more affordable option for users who still want a large battery and fast display experience without spending too much.
The new launches like OnePlus Nord 6 shows that OnePlus is continuing to strengthen its position in India’s highly competitive mid-range smartphone market.
